# Hanah for osteopaths

Osteopaths choosing an AI scribe want five things. It has to follow a whole-body, hands-on consult, write only what you examined and did, be fast without leaving you an editing job, keep records private wherever you practise, and cost the same however full your list gets.

## Built for an osteopathic consult

An osteopathic history ranges across the whole body and the patient's life. Examination and treatment are interleaved, much of what you find is under your hands, and before any technique there's a consent conversation to have and record.

## Your notes, in your format

You start with an initial assessment and a progress note in SOAP format, a referral letter, and an optional discharge summary. The progress note starts in clinical shorthand and letters in full prose.

Add your own headings, and give each fill-in slot an instruction about how, or whether, to fill it. Add a Consent heading and Hanah fills it from what was said: that consent was given and a summary of the information you gave, as the Osteopathy Board of Australia's [informed consent guidelines](https://www.osteopathyboard.gov.au/documents/default.aspx?record=WD13%2f10346&dbid=AP&chksum=7tRZKLW3xAsTiGaAh6DutQ%3d%3d) ask. Upload the Word document or fillable PDF you use for workers compensation, CTP or ACC, and Hanah [fills it from the consult](https://hanah.health/blog/byo-template-docgen/). It leaves a field blank rather than guess, injury dates included. The referral letter's examination paragraph leaves out any examination you didn't perform.

## Privacy wherever you practise

A scribe hears everything said in the room. Hanah treats it that way, in Australia, New Zealand and the UK:

-   **Your records stay in your region.** Each region runs on separate infrastructure, with its own database and storage. Our [data processing agreement](https://hanah.health/dpa/) names every step that leaves the country.
-   **No training on your consults.** Neither Hanah nor our speech-to-text and AI providers train models on your clinical data. It's written into the same agreement.
-   **Audio is deleted automatically.** Audio and transcripts are deleted after a short retention window, and every deletion is written to a tamper-evident log. Your clinical note follows your practice's own retention policy.
-   **The agreement is in place from day one.** Our data processing agreement covers your practice from your first session. In the UK, where GDPR requires a written processor contract, you accept it when you create your workspace.

Exercise cards are picked from your practice's exercise library, not written by the AI, with the sets, reps and frequency you stated. If you didn't state a dose, none is invented, and if something you prescribed isn't in your library, it isn't added. Record a video on the spot to add a card of your own.
