# Hanah vs Freed: a plain comparison

Everything here about Freed comes from their own public pages, linked so you can verify it. Hanah publishes a standing [accuracy and hallucination report](https://hanah.health/au/trust/transparency/?from=blog), with the full method.

## What each product is

Freed is a US AI scribe. Its product is the note, with patient instructions, letters and referrals on its top individual plan.

Hanah includes the same scribe workflow, and also produces the clinical outputs that follow the note: filled Word and PDF forms, exercise programs with video, outcome measures, and a patient portal with plain-language summaries, all drafted from the same consult.

## Recording recovery

Wifi drops, browsers reload tabs and microphones disconnect mid-consult, and Hanah keeps the consult when that happens. When the connection drops, Hanah saves the audio on your computer and uploads it by itself once the connection is back, even if the page was refreshed or closed in between. A microphone that stops sending sound is reconnected, or Hanah switches to another working microphone and keeps recording. If the browser reloads the page mid-consult, everything transcribed up to that point is kept and the recording picks back up.

Freed's [iPhone app](https://help.getfreed.ai/en/articles/14288349-troubleshooting-the-freed-ios-app-iphone-ipad) saves the recording on the phone when the connection drops and uploads it once the phone is back online. In the browser, Freed's [FAQ](https://help.getfreed.ai/en/articles/11870714-frequently-asked-questions) says a minimised tab or a computer going to sleep can interrupt microphone access, and without audio there is no note to generate. Hanah does its recovery in the browser, which is where you already have your PMS open.

If you work somewhere with a poor network, or you've been losing transcripts, Hanah is the winner.

## Notes on the table

**Working inside your PMS.** Hanah runs inside Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal and Zanda: you open a patient, the panel is already on that patient, and the note files into the note form. Freed's [EHR Push](https://help.getfreed.ai/en/articles/11328264-introducing-ehr-push) is a Chrome extension that pushes the note into a browser-based EHR. It is included on Premier, and Starter and Core get 5 pushes in total before an upgrade. The systems Freed lists as verified are US ones, including SimplePractice, athenahealth and Practice Fusion. Hanah's integrations are included on every paid plan, with no add-on.

**Accuracy.** We could not find a published error rate or methodology from Freed. We publish a standing [accuracy and hallucination report](https://hanah.health/au/trust/transparency/?from=blog) with the methodology, the raw machine-readable data behind every number, and our worst results alongside our best. Ask every vendor you evaluate for their measured error rates and the corpus behind them.

**Pricing.** Prices move, so check both pricing pages. As of writing, [Freed's pricing](https://www.getfreed.ai/pricing) is in US dollars. Starter is US$39 a month for 40 notes, and Core is US$79 a month for unlimited notes. Letters, referrals and EHR Push sit on Premier at US$104 a month billed annually or US$119 monthly. There is a 7-day trial and no free plan. Hanah has a free Basic plan with the patient portal, exercise programs and PROMs, no card required. Its [Practice plan](https://hanah.health/pricing/) is A$100 per clinician per month (A$80 billed annually) with a 1-month free trial, and includes everything in the table with no note limits and no add-ons.

## The bottom line

If all you want is the note, Hanah drafts it, and we [publish our benchmarks](https://hanah.health/au/trust/transparency/?from=blog) so you can check how well.

Hanah also does the workflow the note sits in: the filled form, the exercise program, the outcome measure and the patient plan, out of the same consult, landing in the PMS you already use.

Run a real trial with real consults before you commit.
