## What each product is

Heidi is an AI scribe that transcribes consults, writes notes from templates, and generates supporting documents.

Hanah includes the same scribe workflow, with deep template customisation and robust multilingual transcription. Then it goes further: from transcripts and past notes (including from your PMS), it builds practice-branded care plans, including meal plans, home exercise programs and outcome measure tracking.

## Recording recovery

Wifi drops, browsers reload tabs and microphones disconnect mid-consult, and Hanah keeps the consult when that happens. When the connection drops, Hanah saves the audio on your computer and uploads it by itself once the connection is back, even if the page was refreshed or closed in between. A microphone that stops sending sound is reconnected, or Hanah switches to another working microphone and keeps recording. If the browser reloads the page mid-consult, everything transcribed up to that point is kept and the recording picks back up.

Heidi's [troubleshooting guide](https://support.heidihealth.com/en/articles/14648735-top-troubleshooting-tips) says audio that failed to capture cannot be retrieved, and lists locking the device, backgrounding the app and the processing timer running without sending audio as reasons recovery is not possible. When the microphone drops mid-session, Heidi's [microphone guide](https://support.heidihealth.com/en/articles/11016383-troubleshooting-microphone-and-audio-issues-in-heidi) advises a hard refresh of the browser, and after an incoming call it advises restarting the session.

If you work somewhere with a poor network, or you've been losing transcripts, Hanah is the winner.

## Notes on the table

**Working inside your PMS.** Hanah runs inside Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal and Zanda. You open a patient, the panel is already on that patient, and the note files into the note form. It's included in the plan, with no add-on and no sales call. Heidi's [integrations page](https://www.heidihealth.com/en-us/integrations) lists 40+ systems, so check two things: whether yours is on it, and which plan it needs. As of writing, Heidi's [own Cliniko page](https://www.heidihealth.com/en-au/integrations/cliniko) says the integration "is available on Heidi Practice and Enterprise plans", and its [pricing table](https://www.heidihealth.com/en-au/pricing) carries an "EHR integration add-on" that shows a dash against every individual plan — Free, Clinician and Practice alike. The connection is a separate purchase rather than something a tier includes.

Charging separately for the link to the system the note has to land in is a bit like being billed for the cutlery at a restaurant. The integration is not a garnish on the product; it is how the product gets used. Without one for your system, the scribe is a separate tab and the note moves back by hand.

**Documents.** Both products generate documents from the consult. The difference is the output format: Heidi produces text from templates; Hanah fills [your own Word and PDF templates](https://hanah.health/blog/byo-template-docgen/) — WorkSafe forms, insurer certificates, referral letterheads — and produces the file itself, ready to review and send.

**Accuracy.** Heidi publishes satisfaction statistics — "97% rate document quality as excellent." Ask every vendor you evaluate for their measured error rates.
