Hanah for chiropractors

For Australian chiropractors, Hanah is the scribe to use. It drafts the visit note in your format, the report to the GP and the workers compensation form from the same consult, and the plan the patient follows at home. It files into Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal or Zanda. The price does not rise when the list is full.

Australian chiropractic notes

A chiropractic week is a long list of short visits with a few long ones in between. You will write some mix of:

• a short progress note for each visit: the levels assessed and adjusted, the technique, the response and the consent you obtained
• a re-examination with validated outcome measures, the benefit of care, and the visits you propose with the patient's agreement (the Chiropractic Board's fact sheet on duration and frequency of care)
• the justification for an X-ray and its significant findings, which the Board's imaging guidance asks you to note in the record
• for a child, documented consent covering benefits, risks and alternatives, under the Board's revised statement on paediatric care of 9 September 2026
• the written report to the referring GP after the first and last service under a GP chronic condition management plan, billed as item 10964 (MBS Online)
• a DVA patient care plan and an end of cycle report to the GP (DVA)
• the insurer's form: the Allied Health Treatment Request (AHTR) for NSW workers compensation and motor accident claims (SIRA), the Allied Health Recovery Management Plan (AHRMP) before the fifth consultation in Victoria (WorkSafe Victoria), the Provider management plan (PMP) in Queensland (WorkCover Queensland), and the treatment and recovery plan for TAC care beyond 90 days (TAC)
• the stretches, exercises and home advice the patient has to keep doing between visits

A generic SOAP note does not cover that set. Either the scribe drafts each of those from the consult, or you rebuild the same templates by hand and copy the letter.

Hanah

Hanah is an all in one AI medical scribe designed for chiropractic cases. Going beyond text you can include photos and videos as part of your clinical record keeping. If you run Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal or Zanda, Hanah works inside it in the browser. The note files into the form you already use. The integration is on the plan, not an add-on.

After you accept the note, the same consult drafts a care plan the patient reads on their phone: the home advice, the exercises at the dose you set, what to do if it flares, and a check-in before the next visit. Later visits update it, and nothing new reaches the patient until you approve it.

Heidi Health

Heidi is a general medical scribe: notes, templates, and a long integration list. On its pricing page, Clinician is A$85 per user a month billed annually, and Practice is A$130, both excluding tax. Its Cliniko page says that connection is available on Practice and Enterprise. Heidi states that its data is hosted in Australia.

We could not find a chiropractic page, a measured hallucination rate, or a plan the patient follows at home.

PatientNotes

PatientNotes is an Australian note product. Its chiropractor page lists care plans, treatment reports and referrals. Its pricing page gives unlimited sessions on every plan. Essential is A$29 a month with 2 note templates. Professional is A$79, or A$71.08 billed yearly, for unlimited templates. Prices include GST. Its servers are in Sydney.

Its Cliniko guide says the note goes into the patient's Cliniko record as a draft, and patient summaries and medical letters move by copy and paste. We could not find photos in the note or a published error rate.

Grounded Scribe

Grounded Scribe is an Australian note product. Its integrations page says notes push into Cliniko, Halaxy and Nookal on every plan. Its template library includes NSW SIRA and WorkCover Queensland templates.

Its pricing page meters sessions. Free is 10 a month. Plus is A$19 for 30. Core is A$39 for 60. Pro is A$69 for 120. Max is A$99 for unlimited. Those prices exclude GST. Custom templates are capped at 5, 10 or 25 until you reach Max.

We could not find photos in the note or a published error rate.

Lyrebird Health

Lyrebird is an Australian medical scribe aimed at GP workflows. Its pricing page gives a free plan of 50 consult actions a month and states "No EMR Integrations". Pro is A$160 a month billed annually, with Best Practice, Cubiko and BetterConsult. Its privacy page says data is stored in Australia.

We could not find a Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal or Zanda integration, or a published error rate.

A full list and a session cap. A chiropractic day is many short visits in a row. Grounded Scribe's Pro plan is 120 sessions a month. That is six recorded consults a day across a twenty-day month. A list busier than that moves to Max, at A$99 a month plus GST, for the note alone. Hanah's Practice plan is a flat A$80 billed annually, unlimited, with the integration and the patient plan included.

Filing the note. Copying out of a second tab is how scribes get dropped. Hanah runs inside Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal and Zanda on the plan you would actually buy. Heidi's Cliniko connection needs Practice, at A$130. PatientNotes sends the note to Cliniko as a draft and moves letters by copy and paste. Lyrebird's integrations are Best Practice, Cubiko and BetterConsult.

After the note. The TAC expects chiropractors to build the patient's independence from treatment. Hanah drafts the care plan from the same consult and puts the home advice and exercises on the patient's phone.

Error rates. Ask every vendor for a measured error rate and the method behind it. We publish ours.

The bottom line

If all you want is the note, Hanah drafts it, and we publish our benchmarks so you can check how well.

Those four stop at the documentation. Hanah does the documentation and the work it sits in: the filled WorkCover form, the GP report, the photo, the exercise and the patient's plan, out of the same consult, landing where you already work.

Record a re-examination on a real patient. Check that the outcome measures you said are in the note, the visits you proposed and the patient's agreement are recorded, the GP report is ready to review, and the home exercises are on the patient's phone. Run a trial like that before you commit.

Which AI scribe is best for chiropractors in Australia?

Hanah. It drafts chiropractic notes from the day you sign up, files into Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal or Zanda, and turns the same consult into the GP report, the WorkCover form and the home plan.

Can an AI scribe draft the Medicare report for item 10964?

It can draft the written report the item asks you to send the referring GP after the first and last service. You remain responsible for checking it. The RACGP advises against relying on a scribe to decide whether MBS rules have been met. Hanah drafts the letter from the consult. It does not suggest item numbers.

Do I need patient consent to use an AI scribe as a chiropractor?

Yes. Ahpra's guidance on AI in healthcare says informed consent is particularly important for tools that record consultations, and that you are responsible for checking what they draft. The ACA asks you to record that consent. Hanah asks for consent before it records.

Can it fill my WorkCover and TAC forms?

Yes. Upload the AHTR, the AHRMP, the Queensland PMP or the TAC plan as a Word or PDF file, and Hanah fills it from the consult. You review it before it goes to the insurer.

What should I try in a week?

Use it on your own list, in your own PMS: a run of short adjustment visits, a re-examination, a new WorkCover patient and a child seen with a parent. If the note, the letter, the form and the home plan all come out of the same recording, keep it.
