About Hanah
Hanah is an AI medical scribe. It drafts clinical notes, letters and referrals from the consult, and the clinician reviews every draft before it goes anywhere. Care plans and a patient app are in the same account for practices that want them.
Hanah runs in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, each on separate infrastructure with its own database. New Zealand practices are served from Australia, and we also serve practices in Europe. It works inside Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal and Zanda through the Hanah browser extension, and on its own for practices without a practice management system.
We publish our Word Error Rate and hallucination results for each region, along with the method behind them. The latest results are on the benchmark page.

Hanah was founded by Aaya and Ahmed, bringing together clinical practice and technology.
Aaya
Co-founder and Clinical Lead, Hanah
Aaya is a practising physiotherapist with 15 years of clinical experience and Hanah’s co-founder and Clinical Lead. Her background includes clinical work at In One Healthcare and study at La Trobe University, where her practical studies covered acute, subacute, outpatient and private-practice settings. Seeing how often patients struggled to follow their prescribed exercise programs motivated her to co-found Hanah: she wanted the care agreed in a consultation to remain useful between appointments. She brings her clinical experience to Hanah’s documentation and patient-engagement workflows, signs off the scripts behind its accuracy benchmark, and grades a share of the results by hand. She writes about clinical documentation, patient engagement and the practical use of AI scribes.
Ahmed
Co-founder and CEO, Hanah
Ahmed is the co-founder and CEO of Hanah, with a technology background spanning software engineering, game development, sports analytics, fintech and artificial intelligence. He began building software at 13 and has worked at Electronic Arts, Catapult Sports, Commonwealth Bank and SEEK, run an independent game studio, and served as Head of AI at sixclicks, a governance, risk and compliance company. At Hanah, he brings that experience to the product’s software architecture, AI workflows and user experience. His work connects clinical documentation with the feedback loops that help patients stay engaged with their care. He writes about Hanah’s technology, product design, evaluation methods and AI scribe comparisons.
The company
Hanah is a trading name of PhysiPal Pty Ltd (ABN 61 641 678 891), registered in Melbourne in 2020. The product started in physiotherapy under the name PhysiPal and is now used by GP, specialist and allied health practices.
