Dietetics documentation
A dietetics consult ends in a note and a plan to eat by.
The assessment covers a diet history, anthropometry and biochemistry, and the nutrition diagnosis has to become a PES statement. The patient then needs meals that fit their targets, their restrictions and the way they actually eat. Hanah drafts the note and the meal plan from the same consult.
Start on the dietetics templates Hanah ships with, or bring the ones your practice already uses. The wording is yours, and Hanah drafts into it.
Initial assessment
Hanah keeps the diet history and anthropometry in their detail and builds a PES statement from the problem, aetiology and signs and symptoms you stated. Intervention, monitoring and evaluation follow.
Progress note
The note covers what changed since the last visit, the targets you adjusted and the indicators you'll monitor next. You choose shorthand or prose.
Meal plans
Recipe cards are drafted from the targets, restrictions and meals you discussed. Ingredients are in household measures, with preparation steps and per serve nutrition from FSANZ food composition data, and a number the data doesn't have is left out. You review every meal before the plan goes to the patient's phone.
Meal check-ins
Between visits the patient logs each meal by ticking an option or sending a photo of their plate. You see every day's answers at the next consult.
Reports to the GP
Hanah drafts a report or referral letter back to the GP in full prose. For a GP chronic condition management plan report, pick the visits and Hanah drafts one letter from all of them.
Your own forms
Upload the Word or PDF templates your practice already uses. Hanah fills them from the consult and puts your letterhead on them.

What Hanah is, in plain terms.
Does Hanah write ADIME notes?
Yes. A dietitian starts with an initial assessment and a progress note in ADIME format (Assessment, Diagnosis, Intervention, and Monitoring / Evaluation) plus a referral letter. Hanah fills each section from the consult: anthropometrics and intake with figures and units, the targets set and topics covered, and which indicators to monitor and when they're reviewed.
Can Hanah write PES statements?
Yes. The Diagnosis section records the nutrition diagnosis you stated as a PES statement: the problem, related to the aetiology, as evidenced by signs or symptoms. For example, “Inadequate protein intake related to poor appetite, as evidenced by diet history.” It's drawn from what was said in the consult, and you review it like the rest of the draft.
Can patients get their meal plan through Hanah?
Yes, if you use patient engagement. The nutrition care plan holds breakfast, lunch and dinner recipe cards built from what you discussed, each with ingredients, steps and per-serve nutrition. Patients can log a meal with a photo, and Hanah ticks the plan items it can see for you to review. Patient engagement is optional; the notes work without it.
What is Hanah?
Hanah is a platform for modern health practices, and it starts with an AI scribe. The scribe drafts your notes, letters and referrals from the consult, and it runs standalone in your web browser or on iPhone, iPad and Android, with nothing to migrate. It doesn't need a practice management system or the browser extension. If your practice uses Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal or Zanda, the optional Hanah browser extension puts the scribe inside it and sends each note to the right patient record. Care plans and a patient app that keep patients on plan between visits, and analytics across the practice, are there when you want them. You don't need either to use the scribe.
Is Hanah an AI scribe?
Yes. Hanah's AI scribe drafts your notes, referrals and care plans from the consult, in your own voice, and it can be the only part of Hanah you use. It runs inside Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal and Zanda through the browser extension, or standalone if you don't use a practice management system. Patient engagement and practice analytics are in the same account if you want them later, but the scribe doesn't depend on them.
Does Hanah make diagnoses or treatment decisions?
No. Hanah helps you find and summarise information in existing notes and documents, and draft records of the findings, diagnoses and plans you provide. It supports your search for evidence within those materials and your review of the sources; it does not independently diagnose, choose treatment or decide what to investigate next. You assess the evidence, make the clinical decisions and check every draft against its sources.
Can I use just the scribe?
Yes. Record the consult or dictate afterwards, review the draft, and send the note to your practice management system or keep it in Hanah. You don't have to set up care plans, invite patients or use the analytics, and patients aren't sent anything unless you choose to send it. If you want patient engagement later, it's in the same account, with nothing to move across.
Who is Hanah for?
Hanah is built for allied health, GP, and specialist practices — from solo practitioners to multi-clinician groups — and the owners, managers, and clinicians who run them.
Where is my data stored, and is Hanah secure?
Patient records are stored in Australia, the UK or the US. New Zealand practices are served from Australia, and we also serve practices in Europe. Our data processing agreement lists which regions each step happens in. Bank-level encryption, and no model training on patient data. The regional Trust Centers list the full controls.
How quickly can a practice get started?
About 10 minutes to onboard each clinician. Most practices have the scribe live in week one and patient engagement switched on by week two.
See Hanah running your practice in 20 minutes.
We'll walk through the scribe, the patient app, and the practice dashboard on your actual workflow — not a sandbox.
