Hanah for physiotherapists

For Australian physiotherapists, Hanah is the scribe to use. It drafts the assessment in your format, the insurer form and the report back to the GP from the same consult, and the exercise program the patient follows at home. It files into Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal or Zanda. The price does not rise when Monday is fully booked.

Australian physiotherapy notes

A physio week covers several kinds of consult and several funders. You will write some mix of:

• an initial assessment where most of the objective is ranges in degrees, strength grades and special tests, each recorded left and right
• a progress note with the signs you re-tested and how you progressed the program
• the written report to the referring GP after the first and last service under a GP chronic condition management plan, billed as item 10960 for up to five services a calendar year (MBS Online, with the reporting rule in note MN.3.1)
• the DVA end-of-cycle report to the veteran's usual GP after 12 sessions or a year, on the mandatory template with validated outcome measures (DVA)
• an Allied Health Recovery Management Plan for WorkSafe Victoria within the first five consultations, with standardised outcome measures (WorkSafe Victoria)
• a Provider Management Plan for WorkCover Queensland to request treatment past the pre-approved sessions (WorkCover Queensland)
• an Allied Health Treatment Request to the insurer for a NSW workers compensation or CTP claim, including claims managed by icare (SIRA)
• an Allied Health Treatment and Recovery Plan for the TAC once treatment runs past 90 days from the accident (TAC)
• an NDIS report on functional outcomes against the participant's goals, written for a plan reassessment (NDIS Pricing Arrangements)
• the home exercise program the patient has to do between visits, at the dose you set

A generic SOAP note does not cover that set. Either the scribe drafts each of those from the consult, or you rebuild the same forms by hand and copy the report.

Hanah

Hanah is an all in one AI medical scribe designed for physiotherapy cases. Narrate as you test: "Right shoulder flexion 150 degrees, painful arc 80 to 120, Hawkins-Kennedy positive on the right." Hanah keeps each finding with its figure, unit and side, one per line, and leaves out tests you did not do. Going beyond text, you can include photos and videos as part of your clinical record keeping.

You can start with templates for a SOAP initial assessment, a SOAP progress note, a referral letter and a SOAP discharge summary. On home visits and in the gym, recording continues when the connection drops and uploads when you are back. Hanah detects the spoken language, even when a consult moves between languages, and drafts the note in English.

If you run Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal or Zanda, Hanah works inside it in the browser. The note files into the form you already use. The integration is on the plan, not an add-on.

After you accept the note, the same consult drafts a care plan the patient reads on their phone. Hanah picks the exercises you prescribed from the library, Hanah's shared exercises with demonstration videos alongside your clinic's own, and attaches the sets, reps, holds and frequency you stated. A dose you did not state is never added. The plan carries a check-in before the next visit, and nothing new reaches the patient until you approve it.

Hanah's Practice plan is A$100 per practitioner a month, or A$80 billed annually. Sessions are unlimited. Integrations are included. Try it free for a month, no card needed. Records stay in your region: Australia, the UK and EU or the US.

Grounded Scribe

Grounded Scribe is an Australian note product. Its physiotherapy page lists a SOAP treatment note, an MBS 10960 session note, an NDIS progress report, a WorkCover progress report, a home exercise program and a discharge summary, and says the product is hosted in Australia. Its integrations page lists clinical note pushing to Cliniko, Halaxy and Nookal on every plan.

Its pricing page meters sessions. Free is 10 a month. Plus is A$19 for 30. Core is A$39 for 60. Pro is A$69 for 120. Max is A$99 for unlimited, or A$89 a month billed annually. Those prices exclude GST. Custom templates are capped at 5, 10 or 25 until you reach Max.

We could not find a Zanda integration, photos in the note, or a published error rate.

Heidi Health

Heidi is a general medical scribe: notes, templates, and a long integration list. Its allied health page lists NDIS reports, progress notes and insurer certificates from a single session, with a physio SOAP as the starting structure. Its Cliniko, Halaxy and Nookal pages each say the connection is available on Practice and Enterprise.

The pricing page shows Clinician at A$85 a month billed annually, or A$120 monthly, and Practice at A$130 a month, billed annually. Those prices exclude applicable taxes. Heidi publishes satisfaction statistics. We could not find a measured hallucination rate.

Voxenta Health

Voxenta is an Australian scribe with a physiotherapy page. It lists an initial assessment, a progress note, a discharge summary, a referrer update, an NDIS report, a WorkCover or TAC style report and a patient exercise summary. The same page says it suggests billing codes for HICAPS, NDIS, TAC and WorkCover, exports to Cliniko, Halaxy or Nookal, and stores records in Sydney.

Its pricing page has a Free plan for basic notes and Pro at A$49 a month, or A$490 a year. Practice management integrations sit on Pro.

We could not find a Zanda integration, photos in the note, or a published error rate.

Physitrack

Physitrack is an exercise prescription platform that reaches patients through PhysiApp, and its EMR page says it is used by 110,000 clinicians worldwide. Its AI scribe sits inside a new Physitrack EMR, which drafts a SOAP note and recommends a home program from its exercise library for you to approve.

The same page says the EMR launches in the United States first, with registration and dictation built for the US today. The scribe is an optional extra at US$19 per clinician a month for 100 notes, then US$5 per extra 25 notes. We could not find a published error rate or an Australian data-residency statement for the scribe.

A full list and a session cap. Short, back-to-back appointments are normal in physiotherapy. Grounded Scribe's own physio page says busy physio practices need 50 or more sessions a month. Its Pro plan is 120 sessions a month, which is six recorded consults a day across a twenty-day month. A list busier than that moves to Max, at A$89 a month billed annually plus GST. Hanah's Practice plan is a flat A$80 billed annually, unlimited, with the integration and the patient plan included.

After the note. Most of a physio outcome depends on what the patient does at home. Hanah drafts the care plan from the same consult and puts it on the patient's phone, with the exercises you prescribed at the dose you stated and a check-in before the next visit.

The insurer's form. WorkSafe Victoria, WorkCover Queensland, SIRA and the TAC each have their own plan or request. Hanah fills the file you already download, from the consult, and leaves blank what you did not cover.

Filing the note. Copying out of a second tab is how scribes get dropped. Hanah runs inside Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal and Zanda on the plan you would actually buy. Heidi's Cliniko, Halaxy and Nookal connections need Practice or Enterprise. Voxenta's exports sit on Pro.

The bottom line

If all you want is the note, Hanah drafts it, and we publish our benchmarks so you can check how well.

Hanah does the documentation and the work it sits in: the filled insurer form, the GP letter, the photo, the exercise and the patient's plan, out of the same consult, landing where you already work.

Record a WorkCover initial assessment on a real patient. Check that the ranges and special tests you called out are in the note with their side, your state's plan form is filled from the same consult, and the home exercises are on the patient's phone at the dose you set. Run a trial like that before you commit.

FAQ

Which AI scribe is best for physiotherapists in Australia?

Hanah. It drafts physio assessments from the day you sign up, files into Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal or Zanda, and turns the same consult into the insurer form, the GP report and the home program.

Can an AI scribe draft the MBS item 10960 report to the GP?

It can draft the written report the MBS asks you to send the referring GP after the first and last service. You remain responsible for checking it. The RACGP advises against relying on a scribe to decide whether MBS rules have been met. Hanah drafts the letter from the consult. It does not suggest item numbers.

Can an AI scribe fill WorkCover and TAC forms?

Hanah can. Upload the WorkSafe Victoria plan, the WorkCover Queensland PMP, the SIRA AHTR or the TAC plan as a Word file or fillable PDF, and Hanah fills it from the consult. Any field the consult did not cover is left blank for you.

Do I need patient consent to use an AI scribe?

Yes. The Physiotherapy Board of Australia, writing in the APA's InMotion, says physios should tell patients they plan to use AI and obtain informed consent, and Ahpra expects you to check what the scribe drafts. Hanah asks for consent before recording, and every draft waits for your review.

What should I try in a week?

Use it on your own list, in your own PMS: a new knee, a WorkCover review, a DVA client and a home visit. If the note, the form, the letter and the home program all come out of the same recording, keep it.
