What's new in Hanah

Hanah is an AI medical scribe and a platform for modern health practices. This page records what we have shipped, by month, newest first. Each entry describes something practices can use today. Longer write-ups are on the blog.

  • Recording through a dropped connection. Audio is saved on the device as you record and uploads in segments while you record. If the signal drops, recording continues and the transcript catches up when it returns. How it works.
  • Working offline. Hanah keeps working without a connection: you can start a visit and edit notes, and the visit, its notes and its recording sync when you are back online.
  • Group sessions. A visit with several patients drafts a separate document for each patient.
  • Meal plans for dietitians. A dietitian's starter care plan is a meal plan with breakfast, lunch and dinner recipe cards, each showing per-serve nutrition.
  • Myofunctional therapy. Myofunctional therapists start with their own templates: an assessment, a session review, a referral letter and a completion summary, plus a care plan starter.
  • An assistant that knows your discipline. The assistant takes your discipline and scope of practice into account when it answers, and replies to every question you record for it.
  • Inserting media and questions. In documents and care plans, add images, video and questions from the / menu or the + beside a line.

  • Nookal. Connect Nookal with a practice API key: your day's appointments arrive in Hanah and finished notes file back against the correct client and case. In the browser, the extension drafts into the Nookal note form section by section.
  • Zanda. The browser extension works on the client's Notes tab and on custom forms, answering each question in its own field, including one-line answers and option groups.
  • Letters, emails and SMS in Zanda. Draft correspondence from inside Zanda's letter, email and SMS composers.
  • Drafting from several visits. In the browser extension, draft a note or letter from a range of visits rather than only the latest one.
  • Drafts in your own voice. Drafts can follow the way you write, using a note you wrote as the reference.
  • Care plan cards. Care plans hold decks of cards, such as exercises, recipes and education, which patients see in their app. After a consult, Hanah suggests cards from what was discussed, and nothing is added until you accept it.
  • Photo answers. Patients can answer a care plan question with a photo, such as a picture of a meal, and Hanah ticks the plan items it can see for you to review.
  • Patient languages. A patient can set a preferred language. Their care plans, the documents they receive and the patient app are shown in that language, and the original is never changed. More on languages.
  • Redraft with the assistant. Ask the assistant to change a document from inside it. Each redraft leaves a checkpoint you can restore.
  • Practitioner profile pages. Each practitioner at a practice with a public profile gets their own page.

  • Updated note drafting and transcription. A new model drafts notes, and a reworked transcription algorithm captures more of each consult and recognises patient names better. Benchmark results.
  • Browser extension for Cliniko. Record on the Cliniko patient page you already have open, and the draft fills the sections of your Cliniko note form. Setup guide.
  • Browser extension for Halaxy. Record from the patient's clinical tab, and Hanah creates the note in Halaxy's own editor and fills it.
  • At a glance. A short brief on the patient before the visit, drawn from their earlier visits and notes.
  • Writing styles. Choose Shorthand, Standard, Full prose or Patient-friendly for a draft, and redraft in another style in one step.
  • Email a document. Send a drafted document to the patient by email from Hanah.
  • Assistant conversations. The assistant keeps separate conversations, and you can record a question instead of typing it.
  • Instructions during a recording. Say an instruction for the assistant while you record a visit, and it carries it out once the recording ends.
  • Practice profile pages. A public page for your practice, edited from Hanah, with a way for patients to send an enquiry.
  • Sign in to your region. Choose Australia, New Zealand or the UK when you sign in, so you reach the region where your practice's data is held.

  • Bring your own template. Upload a PDF or Word form you already use, and Hanah fills it from the consult. Read the announcement.
  • Starter templates for your discipline. Each clinician picks their discipline when they join and starts with templates and a care plan set up for it.
  • Care plans shared with patients. Each patient's care plan is drafted from the consult and appears in their patient app.
  • Care team. Patients can see who is on their care team, including practitioners outside your practice.
  • Section instructions in templates. Each section or field of a template can carry its own instruction for how Hanah fills it.
  • Cliniko note templates. Hanah drafts into your own Cliniko note templates, filling the sections they define.
  • Document search in the assistant. Ask the assistant to find documents you have access to.
